People call me Laki. I'm 22. I like architecture, photography and bicycling. Born in Belgrade and lived here ever since.

Belgrade is a capital of south-eastern Europe in many ways. It's my hometown that I love unconditionally. If coming here, be careful! You will easily fall in love. Only a nasty criticizing attitude can save you, but if you're like that, don't come. We like compliments.

Soc-Realism in Belgrade Architecture - STILL IN BELGRADE

“In terms of character and the intensity of manifestation, domestic soc-realism can be divided into moderate and extreme. The first was marked with a certain amount of creativity within available programmes and modest technical methods, while the other was oriented towards creatively minimalist, schematized and propagandist architecture.”

It is believed that each of the sisters Ružica, Marica and Cveta had one church built as their edifices, naming the churches after their names.

This is my favourite part of Belgrade fortress. What’s yours?

Subways of Belgrade can be really cool and the proof of that is one of the clean and reconstructed ones near Terazije tunnel. The one on the picture is dirty and messy, but the picture shows it’s coolness.

Did you know there is a great chance to start the escalators if they’re off with just any key? Don’t you think these underpasses could be revived?

Did you know…

“Giugaro” was the studio which designed new CAF Urbos 3 trams for Belgrade and it’s the same studio that designed Yugo Florida car, the last Yugo manufactured.
